“Every human being has the freedom to change at any instant.”
– Victor Frankl
Remember when…
…you felt alive and confident? You had possibilities and purpose.
You’re not sure what happened – the pressures of family and work are growing and overwhelming.
The negative voice in your head is getting louder and more stressful. You’ve tried to change – but it doesn’t last. Your current life is not the life you want.
You ask yourself, “Can I stop struggling with myself and others and get back to feeling good again?”
Individual therapy can help you feel alive again.
Through therapy, you can learn to identify triggers that cause you to become upset with yourself or others.
There are more effective ways to respond to people and situations – you can learn them.
As you regain trust in yourself, you will feel more confident in the actions you take while identifying your strengths and building on them.
You will find more compassion for yourself and others.
Here’s a typical session.
Wherever you begin, I will listen deeply and carefully to what you are saying and doing and how you are saying and doing it.
We will build on your strengths to support you as you tackle your negative and critical self. I will share what I see and hear about what you do well and what gets in your way.
I will point out when the challenges of your history emerge in your present life, and we will discuss them.
You’ll be excited to see in our sessions what you do on the outside.
I will often suggest structured exercises – things for you to say or do right in our session that will move you toward your goals. I might recommend that you continue to practice these changes during the week as a homework assignment.
You can meet the world in new ways.
